About the Author
Robert N. Lussier, PhD, is a professor of management at Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he has taught undergraduate and graduate sport management students for more than 15 years. He has also supervised sport internships and serves as an advisor for sport management research projects.
Dr. Lussier has authored nearly 300 publications, including texts in management, leadership, and human relations. He was an intercollegiate athlete and has coached at the college, high school, and youth levels. He works out daily and still competes in sports. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and six children.
David C. Kimball, PhD, is an associate professor of management and director of the sport management program at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Dr. Kimball teaches sport management and sport marketing courses and coaches and supervises Maccabi athletes each summer. He has an expansive network of friends and acquaintances in the sport management field; many of the case studies in this book arose from these relationships.
He loves being personally involved in sports and runs 30 miles a week while participating in Les Mills training. He also enjoys watching sports on TV.

The author has done a great job of explaining the skills and experiences needed for sports management. The book lacks a decent index for quick and efficient referencing.

Great book for anyone interested in sports management

Very Useful

It was a very useful book for the class that I took. Easy to read and I enjoyed the real life stories at the beginning of each chapter.
